Nature Camp at the Bay 2013 will be here soon! Camp will take place over three weeks: Nature Camp July 8-11, My First Nature Camp July 15-17, Environmental Adventure Camp 2 July 15-19, and Environmental Adventure Camp 1 July 22-26.
We will learn about Monarch Butterflies, Snails and Slugs, and Fishing at Nature Camp with the younger children. Environmental Adventure Camps will visit the Ohio State University Stone Laboratory this year. Environmental Adventure Camp 1 will kayak and Environmental Adventure Camp 2 will camp at North Bass! We will offer two sessions of Environmental Adventure Camp 1 (one with an overnight camp-out, and one with a cook-out lunch for those who don’t want to spend the night).
We are planning a special Nature Camp kickoff program on Sunday, July 7, for the whole family at the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center–watch for details! We will make special Nature Camp shirts at the party–sign up for one with your registration! Or bring your own to the kick-off party. We will also have available the 2013 Ohio Division of Wildlife Legacy stamps for sale at the LEINWC for $15 to benefit wildlife conservation–a black-capped chickadee this year. 2011-2012 stamps are available at a reduced rate. You can add the price of one to your Nature Camp registration if you wish.
Registration forms are available on our www.lakeerieislandsbsc.com website, by e-mailing email@example.com, or stopping by the Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center. Please send yours in as soon as possible to reserve your spot! Once we receive your registration, a full schedule, volunteer sign up list, full medical forms, and more information will be sent to you in early June. If you have registration questions, please call Sarah Toole at 419-285-8125; for program questions Lisa Brohl at 419-285-5811.
