Lake Erie Islands Chapter of the Black Swamp Conservancy and the Ohio State University Stone Lab present “Earth Day Scavenger Hunt” at South Bass Island’s Scheeff East Point Preserve on Saturday, 27 April 2013. The adventure begins at 9 am. This year’s theme is “Celebrating the Waters of Lake Erie,” as it is the Bicentennial of the Battle of Lake Erie. One can learn a lot about the lake by the items one discovers on the shore. OSU Stone Lab will be there with displays about discoveries on or near the water. Bring the whole family for an exciting and fun-filled morning.
