Sunshine and pleasant breezes created a perfect atmosphere for the annual blessing of the fleet at Put-in-Bay on Tuesday, 7 May 2013. Ty Winchester, President of the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce, welcomed island residents and visitors, and invited participants to enjoy free cookies and beverages. The parade of ships (seen below) received holy blessings from Pastor Jim Lehman and Rev. Mary Staley. The Put-in-Bay School Choir presented music. The Put-in-Bay Fire Department, EMS, Police; Port Clinton Sherrif’s Department, and the LifeFlight helicopter service were also included in the prayers for safety.
