Put-in-Bay’s 5th annual Pyrate Fest sees the return of the Pyrate King for 4 days to find his stolen treasure. Friday the pyrates invade the downtown harbor by boat. Saturday showcases fun activities for the entire family, including a Kids Costume Contest, and an Adult Costume Contest with the winner headed to the Cayman Islands. Sunday is the annual Kids Fest, and Monday the island businesses paddle their vessels around the downtown harbor in the annual Cardboard Boat Races. Monday is also the first 5K Pyrate Run & Fun Walk benefiting Stein Hospice.
During Pyrate Fest, Friday through Monday, anyone who dresses or talks like a pyrate can get $5.00 off the daily rental of a golf cart from Island Bike and Cart Rental. Drivers, of course, must be 21, with a valid drivers license and credit card.
