Bay Week is one of the largest BYOB fresh-water events in the United State, with approximately 200 entries. One Design Centerboards and Catamarans will have a separate course with an Expert Race Committee. There will be trophies for any class of five or more boats, including Portsmouth and Windsurfers. Registration is $75.
The Sandusky Steeplechase is a 16 mile wet and wild race from Sandusky, Ohio, to South Bass Island. It serves as the feeder race for the Regatta and is an optional event. Trophies will be awarded three deep for any class of five or more boats, including a Portsmouth Fleet. The Sailing Spirit/Bill Wells Trophy will be awarded for First Cat Overall based on US Sailing Portsmouth handicap. The Rick White Perpetual Trophy will be awarded for First Cat to Finish. Luedke Memorial Trophy will be awarded for largest One-Design Class. The entry fee is $35.
