1813 Battle of Lake Erie Reenactment Site Location

N 41°45.4′ W 082°57.75′

The Battle site coordinates are as follows: Latitude North 41°45.4′ and Longitude West 82°57.75′. This centering position is 2.5 NM East, and .8 NM North of the present “Bicentennial Buoy”.

To listen to the battle, tune to VHF Channel 10. Safety is on VHF Channel 6 and Security is on VHF Channel 8.

There are nine different Battle plans depending upon the wind direction, i.e. South, Southwest North etc. However, the center of the battle site shall remain at the above GPS coordinates regardless of wind direction.

The goal is to make this event a fun and worthwhile experience. Please keep in mind it will take place rain or shine and the wind and waves are completely unknown. Therefore you have to be diligent, friendly, and respectful to your fellow boaters. Depending on the conditions, there could be 1,000 or more boats, including ferries, in the area.  It is imperative you abide by the United States Coast Guard rules and exclusion zone. The exclusion zone is 500 yards away from any tall ship. The United States Power Squadron will be assisting the safety and exclusion zone, please adhere to their directions and information.
