Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center coordinates three wonderful Road Scholar programs scheduled for May and September 2014. The Road Scholar program delivers lifelong learning opportunities around the world, but one of the most popular tours is the one originating at South Bass Island in Lake Erie. Highlights include a boat trip to Kelleys Island to study geology; a scientific voyage with staff from the Ohio State University’s Stone Lab, and a visit to the country’s third-tallest national monument–Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial. This year the dates are set for May 11-16, September 7-12, and September 14-19. Information and registration details are yours at roadscholar.org.
