Work continues on collaboration to bring Tall Ships to the Bass Islands on a regular basis.  An open community committee, including Julene Market, Dustin Heineman, and Peter Huston (not a Chamber organization) has met to centralize efforts and to prepare clear planning objectives.  In this regard, Blanca Stransky, Superintendent at Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial, confirmed the Brig Niagara will be at Put-in-Bay for Historical Weekend in 2015.

Chamber members were encouraged to promote events such as the Pyrate Fest, where a lucky winner receives a Cayman Island Get-Away Package.  For autumn 2014, the Chamber has scheduled a Tailgate Weekend (Saturday, 27 September) and a Zombie Fest (Saturday, 18 October).  Mr. Winchester also shared the honor flags posted along Langram Road by the VFW will fly again this summer; however, funding considerations may prohibit future displays.
