In what may be one of the last real days of winter, with South Bass Island Lighthouse reporting 15°F at 2 pm, snowmobile action was plentiful at Put-in-Bay. A group of twenty from Oak Harbor, Ohio, stopped at DeRivera Park to have lunch at Tipper’s Restaurant before venturing onward to Pelee Island, Canada. Diane Nemec was spotted returning from cross-country skiing near Rattlesnake Island, and bucket fisherman found good spots off SBI State Park. A proud eagle surveyed the environs near the OSU Research Center, and ice in multiple locations offered memorable images.
