Road Scholars Travel to Kelleys Island for Natural Wonders Expedition

Under the guidance of Lisa Brohl, Susan Byrnes, and Dianne Smith, Road Scholars (visiting Put-in-Bay this week) boarded the ferry “Sonny-S” on a picture-perfect morning to participate in birding, glacial groove examination, and observation of other environmental features unique to Kelleys Island in Lake Erie.  Naturalist Pat Hayes, ornithologist Tom Bartlett, and Kelleys Island historian Leslie KorenkoRoad Scholars provided extensive and illuminating information during the day’s tour.  A scrumptious Perch luncheon was served by the PATMOS Christian Camp on Long Point.  PiBDaily photographer Donna Steinbach captured some of the highlights in the photos below.
