Mother Nature pulled a fast one around the Bass Islands tonight, but Gene Zajac and South Bass Island neighbors gathered at the Perry Monument Plaza to enjoy home-baked cookies (courtesy of Pam Zajac), informative astronomical lessons (e.g., the moon moves its width each hour), and a night sky with colorful, glowing lights from Put-in-Bay and Marblehead. Many thanks to Gene Zajac for his continuing efforts as Astronomy Ambassador.
