Put-in-Bay Maritime Festival and Pyrate Fest VIII June 17-20
It’s a wonderful time of the season: nice weather, lots of eager new visitors coming to town, and a park filled with adventure and Pyrates. Events in the park and out at the dock all weekend make this festival a family favorite. Everyone loves to be a pirate, arggh! And most amazingly, the Brig Niagara will come into port on Friday and set up for deck tours Saturday and Sunday.
The Niagara crew provides an insightful tour full of interesting facts about tall ship life, sailing and the incredible history surrounding the USS Brig Niagara, Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, and the role the Niagara played during the War of 1812.
The Niagara will be open for public tours both Saturday and Sunday–tours are $7 per person. On Monday you can purchase a ticket to sail aboard from 1-5pm. Tickets are $100 a person for a ride of a lifetime aboard the Niagara. You can buy your tickets at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/ If you need more information, call the Put-in-Bay Chamber office at 419-285-2832. You can find the Put-in-Bay Maritime Celebration on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/putinbaymaritimecelebration.
So join the Pyrates, USS Niagara, and the beautiful Matthews Boat Owners Association here for their annual rendezvous June 17th to the 20th.
