To whom it may concern:
I work at a Christian boarding academy in Oklahoma, and I am excited about a School-on-the-Road trip that we are organizing for the spring. My freshman English class has been struggling to secure funds for this trip; so when we studied letter-writing, they decided to write a letter asking for funds. Below is what they have to say, and I am also attaching a flyer. If a contact at the Put-In-Bay Gazette could also receive a copy of this, we would greatly appreciate it.

From the Class of 2020:
We need your help! We are students from Oklahoma Academy, willing to sing for the Lord. From April 19 to May 3, our school is going on tour to see various landmarks, including Gibraltar Island and the Stone Lab. We are going to give concerts on the way with our first performance in Springfield, IL. Besides the choir which we are members of, you will also hear our bell choir and string ensemble. But we can’t go anywhere if we don’t have the funds.
If 160 generous people give just $5, we the freshman, Class of 2020, will be able to go. But, if 320 people give $5, our whole school will be able to go. To give, please send cash, checks, or money orders to 6100 Academy Lane, Harrah, OK 73045. Make them out to “Oklahoma Academy” and in the memo, you can write “Spring Trip – Class of 2020.”
“There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself” (Proverbs 11:24-25, WEB).
You will not regret helping us – we promise!
