Schooner Madeline Spends Independence Day at South Bass Island

One of the special appearances often experienced by Bass Islanders and its visitors is the presence of a tall ship.  The schooner Madeline, out of Traverse City, Michigan, was berthed at “A” dock on the fourth of July.  In the photos below, Madeline is seen preparing for and departing Put-in-Bay.  For a complete history related to the schooner, visit the Maritime Heritage Alliance.
