Put-in-Bay School students illustrated what it means to have “all hands on deck,” as they worked diligently to provide Bass Islanders a top-notch harvest dinner at Tipper’s Restaurant.

The excellent performance at all levels contributed to a very successful evening in support of the Gustav Heineman Memorial Scholarship. Gustav Heineman, an immigrant from Baden-Baden, Germany, founded Heineman’s Winery in 1888. The business continues to this day in family ownership. The scholarship fund was set up in the name of a son who died in 1950.
Put-in-Bay Daily extends kudos to Woody Widmar, the Niese family, and several additional community members for orchestrating the very hospitable and successful event!
