Ice Shanty Villages Start Forming at Put-in-Bay

Put-in-Bay ice shanty villages have sprouted in the harbor, along the West Shore, and near the South Bass Island State Park.  Local reports indicate the ice thickness is between six and eight inches, although the ice shoves reveal much thinner pieces.
