Put-in-Bay School’s volleyball squad challenges the Toledo Scott Bulldogs at 4:30pm this afternoon at the Poulos Recreation Center in a Volley for the Cure competition. Donations made at the door go to the NW Ohio Susan G Komen Foundations. It promises to be an exciting game, as the Put-in-Bay Panthers have a 4 win, 2 loss record this season.
About Volley for the Cure:
Volley for the Cure™ was started by two friends in 2006 to bring awareness to breast cancer. A Volley for the Cure™ match is designated as an awareness and fundraising event. The goal is to pack the stands with Pink! Players, coaches, parents and schools are encouraged to get involved!
Fundraising generated through a Volley for the Cure™ event will be donated to the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Affiliate, working to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
Early detection saves lives in the fight against breast cancer. By encouraging early education and awareness for the young women participating in Volley for the Cure™ events, we are working as a community towards the future, and towards a world without breast cancer.
