Abundant snow, ice forming on Lake Erie, and brilliant sunlight combine to put smiles and enthusiasm in the air, in spite of a high temperature of 14°F and a wind chill of 8°F. At 2:30pm the National Weather Service released the following advisory:
.WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON EST MONDAY... *Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero expected. *Portions of north central, northeast and northwest Ohio. *From 6 PM this evening to noon EST Monday. * The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
