Parts of the Bass Islands lost electricity at roughly 5pm on Sunday evening, due to 47mph wind knocking down a utility pole across from DJ’s Ice Cream, between the Tour Train Depot and Bayshore Hotel. Put-in-Bay Fire, EMS, and Ohio Edison 
responded immediately to the incident. Power was restored at 7pm for a stretch of electric customers along Langram Avenue, Put-in-Bay. Middle Bass Island will be without power until Monday. Fire Department Chief Doug Wilhelm reports Toledo Avenue remains closed until clean-up is completed sometime mid-week.
