It appears ol’ man winter will put a shadow on spring’s arrival. National Weather Service Cleveland prepared this statement at 7:33pm this evening:
SHORT TERM / THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY
“Even though Spring will officially be here by the end of the week, it will feel and look still a little bit like winter with colder than average temperatures and scattered light snow showers. A sharp upper level trough and upper level low will move across the Great Lakes Region into the Mid-Atlantic Region Thursday into Friday. We will have clouds around and colder weather with scattered rain showers and snow showers. Even through surface temperatures may be above freezing in the 30s to lower 40s, cold air aloft associated with the upper level trough will develop instability snow showers.”
