Put-in-Bay Recreation Committee hosted another exciting display of community talent on Friday evening at Put-in-Bay School. Eleven acts revealed a
bounty of diverse artistic skills and youthful exuberance.
Dance, song, gymnastic, and instrumental performances captivated and thrilled the audience. Creative video productions by Patrick Myers added a healthy dose of local color between acts. Particularly entertaining was a segment entitled, “Shanty Confessional,” in which local characters confessed to minor misdeeds. Mr. Myers also called appropriate attention to the girls basketball team’s championship at the first Great Lakes Islands Tournament held on Beaver Island last autumn. Joe Byrnes and Jack Booker took part in a 50’s quiz presentation. Click images for enlarged view!
The judges were Kim Pugh, Jason Cooper, and Deacon Mike Leahy. As judges tabulated the results, guests enjoyed a buttercream cake and lemonade. This year’s prize winners are:
First Place–Katie, Emma, Julianna for “Beauty in the Simple Life” dance.
Second Place–Caleb, Bealy, Donovan for “Bearded Boys” dance.
Third Place–Meredith, Melody, Braylee, and Rachel for “Hawaii Four-0” dance.

Performers who did not achieve first, second, or third place received participation awards.
