Talent Show Celebrates Community Strengths

Put in Bay Talent ShowPut-in-Bay Recreation Committee hosted another exciting display of community talent on Friday evening at Put-in-Bay School.  Eleven acts revealed a Put in Bay Talent Showbounty of diverse artistic skills and youthful exuberance.

Put in Bay Talent ShowDance, song, gymnastic, and instrumental performances captivated and thrilled the audience.  Creative video productions by Patrick Myers added a healthy dose of local color between acts.  Particularly entertaining was a segment entitled, “Shanty Confessional,”  in which local characters confessed to minor misdeeds.  Mr. Myers also called appropriate attention to the girls basketball team’s  championship at the first Great Lakes Islands Tournament held on Beaver Island last autumn.  Joe Byrnes and Jack Booker took part in a 50’s quiz presentation. Put in Bay Talent ShowThe judges were Kim Pugh, Jason Cooper, and Deacon Mike Leahy.  As judges tabulated the results, guests enjoyed a buttercream cake and lemonade.  This year’s prize winners are:
