Garden Club Rolls Up Sleeves for Summer

Garden Club Put in BayUPCOMING EVENTS:

Thursday, June 13th at 4:30 pm – Plant Exchange

The Garden Club is holding a plant exchange on June 13 at 4:30 at the Yacht Club, and we want YOU to participate. If you have plants that need to be divided or a plant that doesn’t seem to thrive in your garden and needs a new home, we urge you to dig it up, pot it up, and share it.

If you need tips on dividing plants, see 3 Simple Ways to Divide Plants.  So that your plants will look their best for the exchange, dig and divide as soon as possible. This will allow them time to recover and look full and lush in their pots.

We ask you to label your potted plants with plant name, bloom color, light requirements, and mature size.  See attached file for Plant ID labels.  Bring your plants to the Yacht Club between 2:00 and 3:00 on the day of the exchange so that volunteers will have time to organize.

At 4:30, exchange coupons will be distributed to participants and all are garden club members are welcome to come and browse.  Those holding coupons will be allowed first choice.  Remaining plants will be available to anyone in attendance.

We hope this will be a fun social event and a time to learn about new plants and acquire free plants! We hope to see you there!  If you have questions, please contact Susan Hildebrandt at 440 409-1958.
