The U.S. Census Bureau reaches out to Ottawa County to encourage participation in the 2020 Census. Ottawa County’s 2020 Census response rate is only 37.1%. It is the lowest among the 88 counties in Ohio.
>The Put-in-Bay census tract is only 11.1%.
“This is worrisome as census data informs future representation and funding for schools, emergency services, health care and much of our social safety net and more for the next ten years,” according to Kurt Wesolek, Partnership Specialist with the U.S. Census Bureau.
