Put-in-Bay School Panthers take the sting out of the visiting Hornets.
The Put-in-Bay Panthers hosted the visiting Toledo Hornets in friendly volleyball action Tuesday afternoon. Put-in-Bay started off dominating and overwhelmed the Hornets for a 25-7 victory in the first set. The Panthers went into cruise control and won the next two sets for a 3-0 victory. With the win, the Panther’s record moves to 5 wins and 2 losses.
There were many great individual efforts: Lyla Stiedl had 11 aces, Ava Heinemen had 14 kills, and Emma Michael had a career-high 15 assists. The Panthers look forward to getting into the gym and getting back to practice and working to improve skills. They are next in action versus Horizon Science next Tuesday in the Panther Pit.
