Monday’s wind gusts hovered in the twenty-knot range on Monday, and the NOAA forecast calls for southeast winds 15 to 25 knots becoming south. Rain and waves 2 to 4 feet building to 3 to 6 feet and occasionally around 7 feet, put the Bass Islands in a small craft advisory for Tuesday.

* WHERE…The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Maumee Bay to Willowick OH.
* WHEN…Until 7 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
