- The Halie & Matthew is a two-masted, Gaff-rigged schooner, replicating the design of a 19th century New England fishing schooner.
- She was launched in 2005, combining the elegant lines of her traditional rig and design, with the best of modern materials.
- The Halie & Matthew is named after the grandchildren of her builder.
- She began as a whale-watching tour vessel in Maine and Nova Scotia and then moved to Florida for day sailing and educational sailing trips. Then, in 2010, Halie & Matthew participated in relief efforts for survivors of the earthquake in Haiti, carrying more than 45,000 pounds of supplies to the devastated area.
