The Tug “Bessie B” has experienced quite a journey since the onset of this past winter.  Today, she continues to shuttle the construction barges around the Put-in-Bay Village Docks as work by the contractors heads toward closure.  The latest developments can be tracked at “PIB Village Docks, A&C” on Facebook, according to Village Fiscal Officer Joy Cooper.  Mr. Mark Nowakowski, of HPH Mechanical, kindly informed us of the following developments:

“Once again the weather is a huge factor; we cannot operate our cranes and drilling equipment in thunderstorms.  Mother nature is not giving an inch on this marina renovation.

C-Dock with c-1 finger docks & c-2 fingers ready for 7-4-14 weekend by 7-3-14

A-Dock will be close.  We hope to have Main Docks & existing finger available for public use–but so much depends on final inspection and legal sign-off for acceptance by owners (Village of PiB), as well as the timing needed to accomplish all of the necessary Important Task completion.”
