The 2025 season officially kicks off as Miller Ferries begin their regular passenger and vehicle trips to Put-in-Bay and Middle Bass Island. Service to Put-in-Bay starts Friday, March 21, while trips to Middle Bass Island will begin on Thursday, March 27.

As the largest and most frequent ferry service to the Lake Erie Islands, Miller Ferries are excited to welcome visitors back to the islands. And this year is a special one – 2025 marks the company’s 120th anniversary of serving the Lake Erie Islands region.

“This winter was an islander’s dream come true with several weeks of ice fishing and ample time to stock walleye in the freezer,” says Julene Market, an owner of the ferry company. “In 2025 Miller Boat Line marks 120 years of service in the Lake Erie islands area, and we’re excited to get this season underway and welcome visitors back to Put-in-Bay and Middle Bass.”
