Big Day at the Bay 2025: Full Guide to Saturday’s Events
Put-in-Bay’s season may be winding down, but this Saturday, September 20, is one of the busiest and most exciting days on the island. From morning fitness to late-night entertainment, Big Day at the Bay packs in a full schedule of events. Here’s your complete guide:
Miller Boat Line 5K at Put-in-Bay & Family Fun Run
Start the morning with the Miller Boat Line 5K Run/Walk, a community favorite that winds through the village and island roads starting at 9:30 AM. It’s not too late to sign up — register here.
Kids Carnival in DeRivera Park
New this year, DeRivera Park will host a Kids Carnival and bounce house from 2 PM to 5pm with games, prizes, and activities for kids. Admission is $5 per person or $15 for families. A portion of proceeds benefit the Scott Pugh Foundation. Sponsors include Miller Boat Line, Jet Express, The Boardwalk, The Dog House, Island Bike and Cart Rental, Put-in-Bay Surf Shop, Heineman Winery, and Shores & Islands Ohio.
49th Annual Fire Department Clam Bake
The Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department hosts its 49th Annual Clam Bake at the Chicken Patio, serving from 11 AM to 7 PM or until sold out. This long-standing tradition directly supports the local fire department.
Monte Carlo Street Games on Delaware Avenue
Roll the dice or spin the wheel during Monte Carlo Street Games on Delaware Avenue at 2 PM. Casino-style fun takes over the strip, with proceeds going back into the community.
Sale Away Weekend: Garage Sales & Shop Specials
Garage sales will be happening from 10 AM to 6 PM across the island as part of Sale Away Weekend, along with end-of-season specials at many island shops. A virtual map is available here. Physical maps will also be available at the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce Visitor’s Center, the Miller Ferry dock, and the Jet Express dock.
