Exclusive Preview: Historic Weekend Parade

Put-in-Bay Daily brings you an exclusive preview of the much-anticipated Historic Weekend Parade, happening this Saturday, September 7th, at 2 PM! Starting from the Put-in-Bay School, the parade will travel through downtown, making its way down Catawba, Delaware, Toledo, and Bayview, and ending at Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial for a performance of the three national anthems and several patriotic songs.

What to Expect:

  • Grand Marshal: Put-in-Bay Mayor, Judy Berry riding in Phil and Debbie Hahn’s Ford Model A
  • Performers:
    • Anthony Wayne, Clyde, and Paulding High School bands
    • University of Findlay Majorettes
    • Four current and former members of Twirling Team USA
    • Put-in-Bay Panther Twirling Club and baton clinic participants
    • Perry’s Victory Color Guard, reenactors, and Commodore Perry’s Long Boat (replica)
  • Special Appearances:
    • Antique cars from the Skip Duggan Antique Car Club (including the candy jeep)
    • Ford Broncos from “Broncos on the Bay”
    • Put-in-Bay Fire Department and antique fire trucks from Jack Zimmerman and Greg Fraunhoffer
    • Shores & Islands Ohio Van
