The holiday season is officially underway on Put-in-Bay, and the next few days bring a full lineup of community events.
Holiday Bazaar – Today, Wednesday, November 19 (3–7 PM)
The annual Holiday Bazaar takes place today from 3–7 PM at the Put-in-Bay Town Hall. Organized by the Nature & Wildlife Center and the Lake Erie Islands Conservancy, the Bazaar brings together island artisans, nonprofits, and students for an afternoon of shopping and seasonal cheer.
Visitors will find a wide range of gifts, baked goods, handcrafted items, artwork, island photo cards, permanent jewelry, and more. PIB Athletics will also be selling chili, soup, hotdogs, mac and cheese, and refreshments.
Vendors include:
LEI Conservancy, LEI Nature & Wildlife Center, LEI Historical Society, PIB Athletics, Brownie Troop 1314, Mary Ann Meyers, Jessie’s Jewelry, Painter Sarah Cochran, Jill Cooks, Melanie Riebe, Your Only Earth, The Perry Group, and PIB Grades 8–9 with holiday pies.
After the Bazaar, the Aquatic Visitor Center will host its Holiday Open House from 5–9 PM, featuring Lake Sturgeon feedings, tours, refreshments, and a 7:30 PM showing of The Fish Thief: A Great Lakes Mystery.
Kids “Holly Jolly Holiday Concert” – Thursday, November 20 (7 PM)
Put-in-Bay School presents its annual holiday music concert tomorrow at 7 PM in the school gymnasium.
The Holly Jolly Holiday Concert will feature all students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, plus select 11th-grade music students. Families and community members are invited to attend and enjoy a festive night of student performances.
Panthers Basketball Home Opener – Saturday, November 22
Basketball season officially tips off this Saturday with a triple-header at the Put-in-Bay School Gym.
The Panthers will host Harvest Temple and Tiffin Calvert.
Game Schedule:
• JV Boys – 9:30 AM
• Varsity Boys – 10:30 AM
• Varsity Girls – 11:45 AM
Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Panthers for their first home games of the season.
