Panthers Shepherd Rams in Home Victory
The Put-in-Bay Panthers defeated Rogers Ram’s on the Panther’s home court for the second home game of the season Monday afternoon. The Panther’s fought hard to earn a victory in three matches. The scores of the game were 25-13, 27-25, 27-25.
Coach Schuffenecker was proud of his team stating, “The team is starting to come together and believe. Adversity is making us stronger not pulling us apart.” The team started hot in game one with a 10-0 lead and cruised to a 25-13 win. The next games were back and forth and evenly played. The final game tied 25-25 Freshmen Katie Scarpelli delivered two serves in bounce and the team got the points and the win.
The win moved the Panthers record to 5 wins and 2 losses. Ava Heineman led the team in both kills and aces. Emma led the team in assists in this game. The team will enjoy the win but look forward to getting right back to work as they prepare to take on the Woodward High School volleyball team this Friday September 13th on the road. Go Panthers!
