What’s Happening on Put-in-Bay This Weekend

While winter brings a slower pace on the island, there’s still plenty happening this weekend on Put-in-Bay, with events for anglers, families, and locals alike.

Kurt Rohrbacher Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament

The annual Kurt Rohrbacher Memorial Ice Fishing Tournament takes place Saturday, February 7.

Friday sign-ups: 6:00 PM at Topsy Turveys
Entry fee: $25 per fisherman
Fishing hours: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (must return to Topsy’s by 4 PM)
Prizes:
- Cash awards for the three heaviest walleye limits
- $100 for the biggest walleye of the day

Aquatic Visitor Center Open Saturday

The Aquatic Visitor Center will be open Saturday from Noon–6:00 PM, welcoming anglers and visitors in support of the ice fishing tournament.

Guests can learn more about Lake Erie fisheries and enjoy free coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day.

PIB Panthers Basketball — Senior Day

Put-in-Bay High School hosts its final home basketball games of the season on Saturday, February 7. It’s also Senior Day.

Fire Department Pancake Breakfast — Sunday

The annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser takes place Sunday, February 8, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Put-in-Bay Fire Station.

The breakfast is donation-based and includes pancakes, eggs, French toast, and sausage. Organizers encourage attendees to stop in before heading out to fish or after church services.
