2024 Total Eclipse Mesmerizes Put-in-Bay

Night-like illumination spread across Lake Erie during Totality.

The 2024 Total Eclipse proved to be the spectacular celestial phenomenon anticipated by the residents and visitors at Put-in-Bay this afternoon.  At 1:59pm the moon encroached upon the sun; although the slight shadow did not at first make a strong impression, by 3:10pm Totality struck and created a surreal environmental experience.

Birds gathered in silence prior to the moment of Totality.

PiBDaily™ is pleased to present the following images which chronicle today’s special event.  All the sun shots were taken with a Nikon D7100 with 200mm lens and special solar film, ISO 12312-2.
