Bass Islanders Gather to Honor Veterans

Put-in-Bay School students and community members gathered this morning to honor veterans with a program of original speeches and patriotic music.  Historical backgrounds for each of the military services was provided, as well as brief summaries of the “History of Military Conflict.”  The latter included the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Cold War, the Vietnam War, and the War on Terror.  Music was presented by the Put-in-Bay School Choir under the direction of Ms. Gay Pippert.
