Beaver Island Basketball Teams Arrive at South Bass Island

Students, staff, and parents from Beaver Island Community School, Lake Michigan, arrived on South Bass Island this morning on the Miller Boat Line ferry.  Beaver Island Community School is a founding member of the Great Lakes Islands Basketball Tournament.  The tournament enters its third year this weekend at Put-in-Bay.  The first two contests were held at Beaver Island and Mackinac Island.

– 2018, 2019 Girls Champs – Put-in-Bay High School

The BICS athletic program offers 3 different sports:  co-ed soccer along with girls volleyball in  the fall. In the winter there is a boys and a girls basketball team. BICS Islanders are part of the Northern Lights League, consisting of 8 other teams from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
