Hundred-Year-Old Coffee Has Sedimental Value

An 1812 brand coffee tin is one item offered for sale at Steve and Alina Nemec’s yard sale next month. The one pound coffee tin was manufactured by the Continental Can Company of Chicago for The Feilbach Company-Wholesale Grocers, Toledo Ohio.  Other unique items the Nemecs will make available include a 4 oz. Bass Island brand grape juice bottle, and a children’s book about Commodore Perry in the Battle of Lake Erie.  The Island Wide Garage Sale event, sponsored by the Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce, is on Saturday, May 16th, 2015.
