Presentation Description:

In the fall of 2021, the Island Institute (Rockland, Maine) launched a leadership framework based on academic research and its 35 years of on-the-ground community development history. This webinar will introduce participants to the seven competencies of the framework.

The framework serves as the foundation for everything the Island Institute does. We will cover how it can be applied to help organizations, teams, and individuals to develop skills, create meaningful leadership conversations, and influence systems change to address the complex challenges facing communities. There will be time for questions and small group breakouts to discuss how these ideas may benefit our Great Lakes island communities.
