Islander Captures Winter in Creative Portrait
Dusty Dykeman’s words and photos reflect aspects of the Bass Islands in the winter:
You can tell that winter is finally here. They come to Tipper’s for good food and beer. From neighboring islands on four-wheelers they ride. Thanking the ice gods for frozen waters to glide.
My two grandchildren learning how to ice skate–should have told them they had to stay standing upright!
The ice is here with points and spikes. Shanties out already, should we say yikes? With an ice wall in the background, I think I will keep my feet on solid ground.
