Kayak Lake Erie Water Trails
Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) water trail program promotes awareness of public paddling
access while increasing safety by partnering with local communities to develop designated water trails on Ohio’s waterways.
The Lake Erie Islands Trail has become a favorite for local and visiting kayakers. Incredible on-the-water views, convenient access points, and a rewarding proximity to island landscapes await those who don’t need to rely on a motorized vessel to experience Lake Erie.
Kayak rentals are available on South Bass Island at Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals and Kayak the Bay.
