Low Water at Put in Bay

Put-in-Bay harbor succumbed to SSW winds overnight and found the water level down considerably.  A measurement taken at The Boardwalk indicated 57 inches down to the water from the dock.  Most of this year, the water line was 32 inches below the Boardwalk.  The National Weather Service office in Cleveland had issued a Low Water Advisory last night, stating, “A low water advisory is issued when water levels are expected to be below the critical mark for safe navigation.  Vessels may become grounded.”
