South Bass Island residents awakened to heavy snowfall and gusty winds on Wednesday morning.  Ottawa County declared a Level 3 Emergency and Put-in-Bay School closed.  At the offices of Put-in-Bay Daily™, 10 am measurements included 8″ of snow and 14″ drifts, 22°F, 95% relative humidity, 13 knot winds, and a rising barometric pressure of 29.93.  The images below reveal members of our community already at work and play.  The National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 pm today.
