Rewarding island experiences, offered by Ohio Sea Grant and its Stone Lab field station, bring Lake Erie science and history to the public through research, education and outreach. Ohio Sea Grant, one of 34 NOAA Sea Grant programs dedicated to the protection and sustainable use of marine and Great Lakes resources, leads the way on solving Lake Erie’s toughest problems. Stone Lab is The Ohio State University’s island campus on Lake Erie, offering more than 20 college courses and workshops for college students, advanced high school students and educators, as well as a Lake Erie science field trip program for grades 5 through adult.
