Panther Basketball Teams Close Season with Tough Losses
Panther Basketall seniors end high school careers on high notes in spite of losses to the Margaretta Polar Bears and the Lake Flyers.

Macy ladd, Alice Lentz, Mckenna Stacy, LIlian Frederick, Alec Sharp, and Doug Steidl saw their final action in the Jim Poulus recreational facility. The teams faced off against tough opponents. While the scoreboard didn’t go the Panthers’ way, the teams competed diligently to the closing buzzer.
Panther Parent Heid Ladd “graduated” from Hot Dog Concession Service today. She advises to always add a fancy mustard and regular mustard for the best tasting hot dog! Kudos to all the parent volunteers who support Put-in-Bay School athletics.
The highlight of the day was Alec Sharp draining a 3-point shot. The gym erupted with chants of “Alec.”
Coach Schuffenecker said of his team, “They did everything you could ask; they worked hard and fought to the end. It is bittersweet, but they completed their circle and I can’t wait to see the future successes they enjoy.” He added, “The team thanks the island community for their support. The Island sure got their Growl On this year!
