Perry’s Monument Plaza Excellent for Exploring Night Sky

Perry MonumentAs night descended and misty clouds encroached upon Put-in-Bay, die-hard astronomer Gene Zajac established a wonderfully convenient observation point.  Using state-of-the art laser technology, Mr. Zajac established night sky reference points as he explained the set-up and controls of the Meade LX-200 series telescope (the most widely used, research-grade, telescope system).  Although visibility was limited due to the atmospheric conditions, observers were treated to a close shot of Jupiter and its moons.
