Put-in-Bay Among Regional Students Who Excel in Academic Quiz Bowl
High School Quiz Bowl October Results
The Seneca / Wyandot / Put-in-Bay / Sandusky / Crawford High School Quiz Bowl League played its second round of matches October 7. Calvert, Bridges Community Academy, and North Central Academy hosted the schools playing teams within their division or across divisions.
In the North Division Clyde, 5-1, won their three matches. Old Fort, Put-in-Bay, and St. Joseph Central Catholic all have three wins.
In the Central Division, Hopewell-Loudon, Columbian, and St. Wendelin each brought with them 3-0 records. Hopewell-Loudon’s zero-loss record, however, is the only one to endure. Columbian lost to them and St. Wendelin to Columbian and they are at 5-1. In third place is Calvert at 4-2 whose losses to Hopewell-Loudon and St. Wendelin had come in the first round of matches.
In the South Division, Seneca East, 5-1, won their three matches. Tied with them in first place in the Division is Mohawk who had gone to the day at 3-0. Their loss to Carey puts them also at 5-1. Buckeye Central, Carey, and New Riegel all have two wins.
The final matches of the regular season will be played in November at Hopewell-Loudon, Mohawk, and North Central Academy.
