Put-in-Bay Chamber of Commerce invites you to join a celebration of love and unity at the inaugural Put-in-Bay Pride event.  This will be a day of laughter, color, and good vibes for the entire LGBTQ+ community and allies. Experience a range of fun-filled activities, from the 10am Color Run at The Keys to the Sand Bar Pool Party at noon.  Enjoy a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly atmosphere.

According to the U.S. Library of Congress, “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month occurs each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. Today, celebrations include pride parades, picnics, parties, workshops, symposia and concerts.  LGBTQ Pride Month events attract millions of participants around the world. Memorials during this month are for those members of the community lost to hate crimes or HIV/AIDS. The purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally.”
