Put-in-Bay School Panthers Bounce into New Season of Basketball

The season opened for Put-in-Bay Panthers on Monday, November 28th. The Panthers traveled to Bowling Green Christian to take on the Lions. The boys tipped off the season first and fought hard but lost 56-35. Leading the Panthers in Scoring was Doug Steidl with 16 points.

The girls then took the court and found victory with a 28-12 final score. McKenna Stacy led the team with 10 points.

The Panthers now set their eyes forward on the Great Lakes Island Basketball tournament. Put-in-Bay School will take on Beaver Island Islanders, Mackinac Island Lakers, and the Washington Island Bucks in a battle of the Great Lakes. Games are going to be played Friday and Saturday.
