Put-in-Bay Traffic Re-routed for Utility Work

At 8 am this morning, 6 May 2014, the short stretch of Catawba Avenue from Bayview to Delaware was closed for utility work. According to Mr. Maz, of HPH Mechanical, the water main work at the corner of Bayview and Catawba is the second-to-last utility disruption related to the dock improvement project.  Only the take-down of the power poles remains.  Significant project completion items such as these are critical benchmarks for islanders and visitors alike, as the 2014 summer season gets underway.
