Santa Makes Early Appearance to Deliver Put-in-Bay Community Gifts

Santa Claus made the rounds on South Bass Island this afternoon, courtesy of the Put-in-Bay Recreation Committee.  The annual event is organized by Heidi Ladd with special assistance from Susan Cooks and Suzanne Kostura.

Santa distributed candy canes and gifts with the help of three local elf-apprentices and a navigator.  Put-in-Bay Volunteer Fire Department provided the “sleigh,”  accompanied by a gift carriage, security vehicle, and press automobile.

Family members, alerted to Santa’s arrival in their neighborhood by the sounds of siren and horns, gathered gleefully to experience the generous and caring gift-giving event.  Click an image to enlarge!
